My name is Sonali Narayan. I am a multidisciplinary artist and designer with a passion for sustainable textiles and fashion. I love working with my hands. Creating something is just as rewarding as designing it.

I’m also a bit of a hoarder when it comes to materials; I keep all of my fabric and fiber scraps because I enjoy the creative challenge of transforming something old, overlooked, or unused into something new.

Fashion is art, but what makes it special is that it’s art you can wear. You become the artwork. What do you want your art to say about you?

For me, it’s about being true to yourself, regardless of what others may think. Feeling comfortable and confident in what you wear is incredibly important, especially in a society where so much is cheaply mass-produced to look the same. 

I will always strive to be authentically myself, and my designs are a reflection of that.
